Some people, or maybe even many people, don’t realize online poker is still around.\u00a0 After the terrible day more than ten years ago when online poker was shut down for USA players thousands of people stopped playing.\u00a0 It was a terrible day in many ways for online poker players.\u00a0 Many were making a living back then playing poker online and all of a sudden that was taken away from them for no reason really.\u00a0 Imagine being told you can no longer play poker online for real money if you live in the United States?\u00a0 Well that’s what happened and online poker for USA players just has not been the same.\u00a0 Gone are the Pokerstars and Full Tilt days when hundreds of thousands of players were playing online at the same time.\u00a0 If you didn’t have a chance to experience it lets just say it was amazing times.<\/p>\n

Having said that you can still play online poker for real money even if you live in the United States.\u00a0 Even though its not close to back in the good times it is growing and there are tournaments of all sizes to play.\u00a0 For example, BetOnline Poker<\/a> had a $150,000 GTD tournament today so poker is still alive and well.
